Many people work on their bathroom DIY projects over the summer holidays, using the stellar weather and time off to get them closer to completing their ideal bathroom.

If you've got your shower and/or bath fitted, plumbing and sink installed, painting completed and fan system ready to go, then you're almost there!

There are some fine finishing touches that you can add to your bathroom design, helping to enhance and complete the look.

    Here are some suggestions!

    Task Lighting

International kitchen and bath design company Kohler says that adding task lighting makes the room "more attractive and inviting".

Lighting should never be underestimated, with Kohler saying a bright, warm light is able to enhance the beauty of everything in the room.

This can further be helped by choosing a light fixture design that suits the theme of the bathroom.

    Wall-mounted shelving

Instead of hiding all your bathroom necessities in a medicine cabinet or cupboard under the sink, consider having wall-mounted shelving instead.

This can also add to the design aspect of the room, with floating shelving an especially popular trend, used to hold folded towels and other products.

Having your bathroom products open on display may also prove to be helpful, allowing you to control clutter and get rid of anything that is old or unneeded.
