If you've got paint to remove from concrete, stone or terrazzo, then you can be sure to rely on a concrete grinder hired from Kennards to efficiently get the job finished.

Kennards has a wide range of equipment to help with your concrete cleaning duties, whether it be for your workplace or in your home.

Two heavy duty 240V concrete grinders from Kennards Hire were used to complete a task "where others failed", removing line markings in the vehicular backstage area of the Sydney Opera House.

Simpson Building Group needed to remove more than 300sq m of line markings to carry out a major building, electrical and mechanical upgrade of the Central Passage area, a delivery and dispatch point for a large amount of equipment and other goods.

A sub-contractor found it hard to make progress with other machines, until project manager Gerard Nellestein came across Kennards' heavy duty grinder which stands as the most powerful in the 240V class.

“We hired one of these grinders from Kennards at Penrith on advice from staff at the branch who were also in contact with the Concrete Care division," Gerard said.

He said it went so well that they picked up a second one from the Rydalmere branch.

"They are very efficient, and they have interchangeable discs, allowing the unit to complete rough finishing or light sanding, which was perfect for areas on soft concrete and epoxy right through to areas reaching 40-50Mpa, and they are almost dust-free," Gerard said.

Tackle your concrete jobs with the range of heavy duty equipment available at your local hire centre.
