Tradies around Australia may want to have a look at the revised Work Health and Safety Code of Practice for Construction Work, which outlines how construction industry members can maintain safety during any project.

The new Code builds on the previous version, which was for principal contractors who wanted to better understand Australia's Work Health and Safety Act. The latest update goes into detail on specific tasks that may be performed by these contractors.

It also discusses how tradies can manage all risks that are inherent to construction projects, develop their own Safe Work Method Statements and other official plans the government requires from construction projects.

The revised Code provides great detail on a wide range of subjects, ranging from asbestos abatement and removal to demolition work and even appropriate first aid measures. Safe Work Australia said it developed the Code to help contractors achieve "standards of health, safety and welfare" mandated by legislature.

Contractors can improve their safety with the right electric tools and other construction equipment from Kennards Hire, which takes great care to ensure all products operate as safely and effectively as possible.
