If you're busy doing up your home to sell it later in the year, then we have some garden landscaping ideas that you can get done now while the weather's looking good.

An eye-catching garden centrepiece can help to enhance the look of your home and add to the overall appeal.

Here are some of our DIY garden ideas that you can get mucking into!

    Water garden

Nothing quite completes a garden like a water feature, so put your DIY talents to use by creating this easy water garden centrepiece.

All you need is a large ceramic pot, water plants such as water lily, dwarf cattail, lotus and pond iris.

Firstly, put the pot in a place where it will receive around five to seven hours of sunlight daily, then put your water lily (if you decide to use one) in the bowl.

Slowly fill the pot with your hose, also adding water ager, then proceed to add the other complementary water plants, checking with your plant supplier that these are the right varieties to put together.

Every two months during the growing season, feed your water lilies with fertiliser.

    Ornament garden

Highlight a key sculpture or ornament in your garden by creating a plant feature around the piece.

This can work particularly well for garden seats, providing a lush garden backdrop, or planting some bright geraniums around a bird house feature to give a punch of colour.
