Floor jack hire to change your oil

Changing your car oil is never a fun job, it can often be messy and can require fiddly work. But at least you can make it easier with a floor jack hire.

When you need to change the oil in your car or truck the first decision you'll need to make is whether you require a 1.5 or five tonne jack, as the equipment needs to be able to deal with the task at hand.

Setting up the area appropriately is important too, as you'll need a flat, level surface on which to work for the safest possible job.

Slide the jack under the vehicle to a place where it will hold the car up from a stable part of the undercarriage, which you can find instruction for in the manufacturer's specifications.

Now you can start slowly pumping the handle to raise one end of the car off the ground. Once it's up, use jack stands beneath the car and lower the jack so that the weight of the vehicle is on the stands.

Once the car is off the ground, that's the easy part over, and it's time to get your hands dirty!
