Sydney's popular Sculpture by the Sea exhibit recently employed the use of Kennards' gantries to help achieve the three tonne lifting capacity needed to move the work into its allocated place on the two kilometre coastal walk between Bondi and Tamarama.

American master mason and sculptor Richard Rhodes created the Embrace sculpture, which consisted of three pieces that needed to be arranged in an upright position and be delicately interlocked.

Bill Findlay of Rhodes Architectural Stone Sydney said that using the double gantry and two chain blocks allowed them to install the sculpture in seven hours - a job that would normally take two days.

"The other benefit was that it allowed us to have very fine control as we put the pieces together," Mr Findlay said.
