Keeping a level head

Once you've found the correct height for your installation to go ahead, you're going to need all of the correct equipment and product up there with you.

It's all well and good to say that 'it's not about the size of the tool, but the way you use it', but if you don't have it in the first place, you won't be much good to anyone.

Rolling around the site

For when those tricky jobs are finished, you might want to use your hired equipment for another job somewhere else on a site.

With larger machines like the knuckle boom, moving is easy with the wheels already installed. However, for really heavy gear that you can't just push over to the next job, use a nifty little invention like the 20-tonne machine skate. Using a boom or lift, pick the piece of kit up, slide the skate underneath, making sure it's centred (or use multiple), lower and slide around as much as you like.
