Kennards For Kids campaign wraps up for another year

Spring is a special time of year for Kennards Hire, with the company running its annual Kennards For Kids campaign to show its support for disadvantaged and sick children nationwide.

This September and October, tradies, home renovators and keen DIYers around the country have helped Kennards with its annual charity event, with one dollar from every hire contract going towards the worthwhile cause.

Kennards Hire is a family owned business that believes nurturing and caring for society's most vulnerable members is a priority - ensuring that each and every person is given the best chance at life.

This year's Kennards For Kids campaign has supported several causes across the country - helping charities expand their work to improve the lives of neglected, sick, disadvantaged and traumatised children.

Recipients of the campaign include The Children's Health Foundation, Constable Care Child Safety Foundation, Stepping Stone House, Variety the Childrens' Charity, KidsXpress Life, The Smith Family's Tertiary Scholarship Program, The Exodus Foundation and the Taronga Foundation.

All of these charities make a difference in the lives of our children somehow - something that is close to the heart of the Kennards Family.

From educating children about bullying, helping youngsters deal with trauma, delivering education opportunities to disadvantaged kids and supporting health projects for young people, to providing food for the homeless, the charities are all focused on helping the disadvantaged in different ways.

Despite living in one the world's most developed countries, thousands of children in Australia go without the basics - regular meals, a roof over their head and education.

Supporting charities like Stepping Stone House, the Exodus Foundation and the Smith Family means that more children and young people will be given a helping hand.

Children's disease and serious illness is one of the most heartbreaking things that a parent can go through, impacting on every single person in the family unit.

Organisations like Variety the Children's Charity, the Children's Health Foundation and KidsXpress Life fund vital research into illness and disease that affects young people, while also providing essential support for families with sick children.

A smiling child is a happy child, and Kennards Hire strongly believes that every young person should be given the best opportunity in life, regardless of their circumstances.

Supporting children's charities is something that the company is devoted to, having held its annual Kennards For Kids campaign consecutively for 15 years and raising more than $2 million since its inception.

Kennards Hire also extends its support past children to communities affected by natural disasters and severe weather events.

During the Queensland floods, Kennards provided more than $100,000 in cash donations and equipment to help flood-ravaged regions rebuild after one the country's most devastating events.
