Give your home a summer spruce up with a fresh pop of colour this summer.
DIY painting is easy when you have the right tools and a bit of know how. Start by selecting your colour palette - since it's almost summer, why not add a bright feature wall to lighten up your kitchen or living room?
Once you've worked out your colour scheme, you'll need to prepare the walls. It’s a good idea to give them a clean before you apply any paint to ensure that the surface is as smooth and blemish-free as possible.
Next, fill in any holes or dents that have formed in your walls over time. Picture hooks marks and those created other hanging devices can become more obvious once fresh paint is applied, so sand these down and fill them in.
Remove all furniture you can to avoid any paint splatters ruining your prized possessions. Open windows to air out the room, and you're ready to paint! Assemble your roller and brushes, fill up a pail with paint and throw a drop cloth down to protect your flooring and you're good to go.
