If you've got your muffin recipe ready to send delicious aromas around the house on open home day, then it's time to get stuck into garden and exterior duties!

Create the best first impression for potential buyers by getting busy with a little DIY painting and garden landscaping.

    Fresh paintwork

Is the paint on the side of your house starting to flake off a little? Get out your sanding tools and refresh the look of the exterior, by applying a fresh lick of paint.

A new paint job can make your house stand out and look attractive among buyers - so get your paint brushes and rollers ready!

    General garden maintenance

It doesn't take a genius to know that an overgrown lawn is likely to deter buyers, but go the extra mile and remove those niggling weeds hanging around the letterbox or shed.

If you have a deck in your yard, give it a thorough cleaning with a pressure cleaner. If you don't own one you can hire one out from your local Kennards Hire centre, who also have other garden DIY tools and equipment on hand.

Do you have overhanging branches blocking a picturesque view? Cutaway branches to open up your home's potential. If branches are too high, consider hiring one of Kennard's scissor lifts to get you in those hard to reach places.
