WorkSafe Victoria's Top Tradie Cup 2013 is set to get construction workers and other tradies talking football and importantly - work safety.

The 2013 top Tradie Cup will run over a six week season from April 15 to May 26, with teams able to win a number of prizes including Xbox consoles, footy tickets, corporate hospitality tickets, a Hummerzine ride around Melbourne and movie tickets!

Anyone is free to enter the competition, but prizes will only be won by construction workers in Victoria who have a Construction Industry card (or the equivalent).

Members of the Western Bulldogs have also jumped behind the WorkSafe Victoria initiative, with Daniel Giansiracusa, Liam Jones, Jordan Roughead and Adam Cooney becoming ambassadors for the competition.

The Herald Sun reported yesterday (March 26) that the AFL stars joined workers on a Footscray construction site to launch the online quiz on footy and safety, with goals and points awarded to teams depending on their answers.

The initiative aims to inspire tradies to talk about safety issues on site, with construction workers able to register their teams on the Top Tradie website.
