Summer is coming early for New South Wales and Victoria, with both states' bracing themselves for a heatwave in the coming days.
Temperatures are set to soar up to 44 degrees in parts of Victoria today (November 29), with Mildura, Swan Hill and Horsham tipped to sweat the most.
And it's a similar story in New South Wales, with the mercury expected to hover in the high 30s and low 40s over the weekend.
Sydney and the lower Blue Mountains, along with western parts of the state will receive the highest temperatures, weather experts predict.
Dean Stewart, Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster, told News Limited that the hotter than usual weather is an indication of what the next few months will bring.
"It's a taste of the hot summer to come," Mr Stewart explained.
While most Australians embrace the warm weather, no one likes sweltering through a long summer without relief.
If your home isn't equipped for the searing heat this summer, why not duck down to your local Kennards store to hire an air conditioning unit?
Kennards have a wide range of cooling devices to hire, including transportable units, fans, evaporative air coolers and large air conditioning systems.
