Is the interior of your home looking a little tired? If so, you may want to embark on some DIY work to breathe new life into your house.

Whether the furnishings are a little bit dated or the carpet is worn, summer is the perfect time to challenge yourself with some work around the home.

As one of the most frequented rooms of a dwelling, you may find a bathroom DIY project is in order.

A fresh coat of paint is one of the easiest and affordable ways to revamp a room - or alternatively, why not use wallpaper?

There are hundreds of different types of wallpaper on the market, allowing you to be a bit more creative in the bathroom!

This kind of resurfacing can be faster than painting, however, removing existing wallpaper is an arduous task.

If you are having some trouble with the old paper, then you may want to use a wallpaper steamer from your local Kennards Hire store.

Before using the steamer, you will need to go over the wall with a special perforator that puts small holes throughout the material.

This helps with the steaming by dissolving the adhesive through the holes, which makes for a more time-efficient job!
