Kennards Hire has officially opened its first Northland branch, located in Whangārei, marking a significant milestone in the company’s continued growth across Aotearoa New Zealand.
The purpose-built branch on Rewa Rewa Road becomes Kennards Hire’s 32nd location nationwide, expanding access to reliable equipment hire for customers across the region. The new branch services a wide catchment including Mangawhai, Kerikeri, Ruakākā, Waipū and as far north as Kaitaia.
The branch is led by Branch Manager, Ethan Booth-Holes, who brings strong industry experience from his time with Kennards Hire Lift & Shift in East Tamaki.
“It’s really exciting to set up a new branch and extend the Kennards Hire reach. I’m keen to bring in my knowledge of the industry and help make our customers’ job easy.”

Kennards Hire New Zealand General Manager, Richard White, says opening in Northland strengthens the company’s commitment to supporting local customers.

“With this new branch, Kennards Hire now has a presence from top to bottom of the country, enabling us to deliver consistent service and support wherever our customers are working.”
As part of its long-standing partnership with KidsCan, the Whangārei Branch will support 34 schools throughout Northland via the charity’s School Buddy Programme. The initiative provides free access to equipment and practical support for grounds maintenance and improvement projects, helping create healthier, safer spaces for tamariki.
